In honor of this incredible milestone, the NWTF Edgefield Local Chapter is celebrating with a free concert for the community on March 18 at the Edgefield Square. The concert will feature country music artists, Clay Page and Laine Hardy.

"We are excited to bring an NWTF 50th anniversary celebratory event to the Edgefield Square," said Cari Bennett, licensing coordinator for the NWTF and local chapter representative. "We are grateful for the Edgefield community and the support they have shown us for so many years. Hosting this free event for the town in which we are headquartered is our way to say 'thank you' and bring everyone together."

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a show opening and cake cutting. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a Recteq RT-590 wood pellet grill starter bundle, which will be drawn for at 6:30 p.m. Pre-sale tickets may also be purchased here. Music will begin at 7 p.m., so don’t forget to bring a lawn chair, support local businesses on the Edgefield Square and enjoy a celebration of this historic year!

For more information about this event, contact Stacie Scott at ssscott@nwtf.net or Cari Bennett at cbennett@nwtf.net.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation

Since 1973, the National Wild Turkey Federation has invested over half a billion dollars into wildlife conservation and has conserved or enhanced over 22 million acres of critical wildlife habitat. The organization continues to drive wildlife conservation, forest resiliency and robust recreational opportunities throughout the U.S. by working across boundaries on a landscape scale.

2023 is the NWTF's 50th anniversary and an opportunity to propel the organization's mission into the future while honoring its rich history. For its 50-year celebration, the NWTF has set six ambitious goals: positively impact 1 million acres of wildlife habitat; raise $500,000 for wild turkey research; increase membership to 250,000 members; dedicate $1 million to education and outreach programs; raise $5 million to invest in technology and the NWTF's people; and raise $5 million to build toward a $50 million endowment for the future. Learn how you can help us reach these lofty goals.
