It all started the night before I went to bed. As we got the stuff out for it, we prepared to wake up very early to go hunting.

My thoughts during the car ride were “Am I going to get one or not?” Another one was “Am I going to take a few deep breaths to shoot it or not?”

On the walk to the blind, it was dark. Also, it was very quiet out.

When I was sitting down waiting for the sun to rise, I was sleeping. Then I woke up and snuggled my dad.

When I started to hear gobbles, I got really excited. They came from everywhere.

When I was waiting for a turkey, I played on my dad’s phone, and then I ate a Poptart.

When I got my turkey, I was really excited because I shot it. When I shot it, I ran out there to look at it.

My sister got one on another farm, but mine was bigger than her turkey.
