This opportunistic survey will allow you to report observations anytime or anywhere.
The WDFW is particularly interested in observations in July and August. Reporting your observations during these months will provide critical information on broods and summer productivity. These observations could provide information on brood sizes and percent of hens with offspring.
The turkey brood survey is based on a standardized protocol developed by the National Wild Turkey Technical Committee, so this will contribute to a national effort to standardize and expand monitoring of wild turkeys.
I encourage you all to report your observations and take part in this monitoring program by following the link here: https://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/management/game-bird-survey.
