The NWTF welcomes back Galen Braddy and Mark Warmath as chairmen and introduces Bruce Elliot, former colonel in the U.S. Army, as a support chairman in the turkey divisions this year. Elliot offered his support in the early years of this competition and helped Charley Burke develop the competition in its current format. His expertise and passion will undoubtedly enrich the callmaking staff this year.
The contest will also feature the 3rd annual Wildlife Art Competition, a stand-alone division of the Grand National Custom Callmaking Competition. Aspiring artists with exceptional talent are encouraged to enter and showcase their skills, with an opportunity to win more than $3,500 in prize money. The youth category in the art competition is a particular highlight, always attracting some of the most inspiring entries.
Call makers unable to attend this year's convention must register and ship entries to NWTF headquarters, and those entries must be received by close of business on Feb. 3. If you plan on attending the convention and can check your entries into the contest on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Gaylord Opryland Events Center, your online registration deadline is Feb. 10 at midnight.
The NWTF is eagerly looking forward to the upcoming event in Nashville and is excited to see this year's entries and the talented call makers who will be at the Gaylord Opryland Event Center.
