As the National Wild Turkey Federation looks ahead to its second annual Conservation Week celebration, September 18-24, 2022, it is the perfect reminder that while the NWTF is known as the conservation organization for the bird that is the “King of Spring,” the mission of the NWTF extends well beyond the cherished spring turkey season.
Wildlife habitat conservation — for the wild turkey and countless other species — is a year-round endeavor. And, equally as important to the NWTF ‘s mission, is the preservation of our cherished hunting heritage.
The 2022 NWTF Conservation Week will provide numerous opportunities to learn more about the conservation efforts of the NWTF, but there are also several local chapters hosting outreach events during conservation week or on the last day of the celebration which also coincides with National Hunting and Fishing Day.
