Wheelin' Events
Saturday, October 22, 2011 is the date for the 8th Annual Wheelin' Sportsmen
Pheasant Hunt. Twin Creek Farm, 42030 228th street (5 miles north 1/2 mile
west and 1/4 mile north of Fedora, So. Dak.) will again host this years
hunt.
This is a one day event. There will be no cost to the participants (hunter
or volunteer). You will have the expense of travel to and from the hunt.
We will be serving coffee and rolls upon arrival, lunch and dinner the day of
the hunt. For the days schedule, see the agenda below.
Randy Gaskins will have a few items for raffle and auction at the hunt. I
am hoping that all will show an interest in these items, the money raised
will support the Wheelin' Sportsmen outreach program.
To make this hunt successful we will need a large number of volunteers,
volunteers with atv's, trailers and dogs. Those that attended previously
will vouch for the need of dogs, the cover is really dense this year. I
need for you to get the word to your chapter's membership as we need the help
of members as well as non-members. Who knows, after the hunt the non-members
may want to help with your chapter events! If you can get volunteers to
help-I am asking that you give me a numbers count of volunteers, atv's, trailers
and dogs by either e-mail or phone at 605-996-2414. The volunteer number is to
determine the amount of food that we will need the day of the hunt. I would
like this count no later that October 15th,
As I have said in the past; this function is most gratifying. Come join us
and see for yourself. The hunt is something that we would not be able to do
without your help. Please come.
I have set October 11 as the deadline for return of registration forms.
The registration forms are a requirement so that we may determine any
special needs of the handicap individual.
If you have any questions or know of anyone with a disability that would
like to attend, contact me and I will send them the registration forms.
